New things

The first week of term three, week one, we have been doing writing workshops. I like it because we can buddy up and use the iPads. I like it because you can work together on a story. It's really awesome because it's a new thing and  I Iike to try new things.

The Mysteries of Harris Burdick

I enjoyed using the super pictures from the Mysteries of Harris Burdick because they definitely helped me to develop larger sentences and giant words. Here is a picture of my awesome writing!

Dancing Raisins!

Splish! Splosh! Splash! Five raisins went into a cup of sparkling water. At first nothing happened, but then it starts to have bubbles coming out of the raisins. WOW! A raisin went up to the top.

Reading Time!

My favourite thing to do are my reading rotations each week. A lot of people from Matai rato have been booking in their own rotations on a time schedule. One of my favourite rotations is "book report" time.

Martial Arts

For the past six weeks I have been working on getting my Blue Belt. There are six things you need to do if you want to be a Ninja: respect, leadership, self-control, nutrition, focus and breathing.

My Writing

What was my favourite thing about this term? It was when we wrote about Antartica, slime and bubbles! We used a dice to make our sentences long and short. When you get a three, you need to write a sentence with three words! That's hard! Make sure you try rolling a six! I'm serious!

Proactive Tigers

My favourite thing was Proactive Tigers because we learned karate. We learned leadership, focus, breathing, respect, self-control and nutrition. My favourite was leadership because you needed to have teamwork. It was amazing and wonderful like a funny clown doing a silly dance. We went on Tuesdays first thing in the morning. I liked how we learned that Ninja weapons were used for making food.

Flying Bunnies

My favourite thing was the Flying Bunnies because I did some art. The beautiful peacock was the best. It has lots of colourful paint. We did them every Tuesday morning. Miss Harney is in charge of the Flying Bunnies.

Cross country

My favourite thing is the cross country. I came second in cross country. It was cool. I love running because it is my thing I am good at.

Assemblies

My favourite thing is assemblies because we get our name on a koru card. If you get your name called by a teacher you stand on the stage until the teachers stop talking. So the principal tells you where to go after morning tea and you get a certificate too in the assembly.

Kelly Sports

My favourite thing was doing Kelly Sports because you can play sports games. I liked playing the basketball one because you have to bounce it to the end.

Cross Country

My favourite bit of cross country was when it was the Year 4's turn to run. We did three laps and what I like about it was when we got to do 3 laps, because I like to run 'cos of the fresh air that you run in. It was amazing! I came first place and I said to my opponents, "Good game."

ANZAC Assembly

My favourite thing this term was the ANZAC assembly. I liked it when we went out to listen to the trumpet in the middle of the assembly. The Australian and New Zealand flags came in.
